Scholar Athlete

He finished his last year in Elementary school strong! We are proud of his hard work  and the young man he is becoming. My heart is full,  but it is also somber at this last chapter in our lives with no more elementary aged children. Moving up to Middle School.  Joyous numbered days.  The Scholar athlete earned all A's all year long, level 3 on all STAAR tests, Reading , Math, Science and a perfect score in Math. He also ran the most laps (414) as a Magee Miler (69 miles) , UIL Chess team, and recognized as a top AR reader.  On top of that he grew about 2 1/2 inches which easily made him taller than me, but more importantly, taller than his sister Noble!

 On my front porch swing, through the trees I see this beautiful moon on this special day which will not present itself again for another 35 years! 6/13/2014 -6/13/2049. #mysoulsmile
